The Tekangu Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) is located in Nyeri, central Kenya. Nyeri is located on the slopes of Mount Kenya, and along with the neighboring Kirinyaga region, is known for its intense, complex and densely flavored coffees. The FCS is mainly made up of small farms, each with about 100 trees. They are organized into Cooperative Societies that act as umbrella organizations for the factories where small farmers deliver their coffee cherries for processing.
